Found a little time here n there

for some card making the last week or so, had fun using a new stamp set and also a retired set with some pretty DSP. The "Just Want To Say" card still needs a little sentiment attached at the bottom but I wont decide on which one till I know who is to receive the card 😉

Butterfly Gala

I've had this stamp set and co-coordinating punch for awhile now but have only recently got around to playing with it. While looking around Pinterest for some inspiration I saw so many great examples I know I will be using it lots more. Needing a card for my SIL to put in with a little care parcel after her Knee Replacement Op before she had to return to work, I was happy to find a quick "new to me" technique of colouring the Butterflies using the Stampin' Up Daubers. Pretty happy with what I ended up with. Who doesn't love Butterflies 🦋 😊

Thank you Card

A couple of weeks ago I received a very welcome and much needed gift of generosity from my daughters friend. Today I finished this thank you card to send to her and will also let her know I will pay forward her kindness.

New Paper goodies

to show off from my last SU Class with Bronwen. Love these classes. Each month I learn new techniques as well as enjoying a coffee n chat with the lovely bunch of ladies who attend.

Two new cards and a gift card holder from a envelope and a small box to put a gift in, they were all fun to make.
I have given in and am trying out the SU Project Life system for Scrap-booking to see if I like the change from my normal Scrap-booking technique. Still waiting for a BBB to arrive with some goodies I want to use but so far so good. The Project Life form of Scrap-booking can be a much simpler way of Scrappin' and a lot quicker if you have lots of pics you want to organize into albums and be done. Embellishing the pages can be done as little or as much as you prefer.
I think I will be happy to use both techniques in my Grand-children's albums I am doing but need to get a few more pages done to see if I can incorporate the new with the earlier pages. Will share a couple of them when done.

Hi fellow Paper Crafters,

have you ever thought of putting some of your wonderful card creations into a pretty box and giving it to friends or family as a gift ? Well today I want to share this Card Gift Box I made with you. Fill it up with your cards and you will have a lovely gift for that special someone. Would also make a great end of year gift for your children's teacher's.
It's my very first Tutorial so please be kind I still have lots to learn about the Blogging world and Tutorials. :-)

I have seen a few of these in Blog Land, and I have made one in
a class, but I needed to work out the exact measurements so my cards paired with my Stampin Up Envelopes, (C6 size if you are using store bought ones) would fit nicely in the box.
The tutorial is in inches and I used my Stampin Up tools, but if you don't have the same you could use either of the options shown here for scoring and  trimming the card stock. I am sure there is a few other options out there available too.

I have a few more cards to make to fill my box,
then I will have a lovely gift for a special someone.
Have fun making yours and if you need any Stampin Up supplies to make your box and cards jump on over to the SU button on the right to get to my SU web page.

There is also a PDF file available for download HERE enjoy.
hugs,
Diana
