New Paper goodies

to show off from my last SU Class with Bronwen. Love these classes. Each month I learn new techniques as well as enjoying a coffee n chat with the lovely bunch of ladies who attend.

Two new cards and a gift card holder from a envelope and a small box to put a gift in, they were all fun to make.
I have given in and am trying out the SU Project Life system for Scrap-booking to see if I like the change from my normal Scrap-booking technique. Still waiting for a BBB to arrive with some goodies I want to use but so far so good. The Project Life form of Scrap-booking can be a much simpler way of Scrappin' and a lot quicker if you have lots of pics you want to organize into albums and be done. Embellishing the pages can be done as little or as much as you prefer.
I think I will be happy to use both techniques in my Grand-children's albums I am doing but need to get a few more pages done to see if I can incorporate the new with the earlier pages. Will share a couple of them when done.

Enjoying having the Granddaughters stay over this weekend

Today started out a bit gloomy we even had a short shower of rain, but by 10.30am it was blue sky and perfect temp so we took the girls to the skate park and then onto the new Exercise Equipment Park. Shay was racing against the clock while Pop timed her, and Monique' managed to get around the circuit a couple of times as well, great fun and lots of exercise for them and after their walk with Pop on the beach this afternoon they sure will sleep well tonight, wish I had their energy.

Two new cards this week

A sympathy card for a mate of hubby's whose wife passed recently
and this fun quick card made yesterday when my friend Deb from across the road joined me for our regular Friday afternoon catch up of stamping and coffee. We usually manage to get something done amongst all our chatting and each week we try learn something new with our card making.

Sharing Pics of

the 6 cards that I made to fill the card box when doing the tutorial below. Today I received a Thank You call from my sweet SIL who I gifted them to. So pleased she liked them. Kaye has always remembered our families important occasions with a beautiful card so I couldn't think of anybody more deserving of these handmade cards.

Sharing some pics

from today's SU class, I really enjoyed both of these projects and both are a bit hard to photograph well, but they look awesome in the real.
The card is a Tri-Fold Card which was fun, especially as our Demo Bronwen had done all the hard work for us by having the kit all cut out ready for us to assemble.

This one is a Teabag / Coffee bag holder or better yet the perfect holder for 4 little flat Choccies, I have plans to make some more of these for teachers gifts for my Granddaughter's teachers for Teachers Appreciation Day. Thanks Bron for a great morning.

Hi fellow Paper Crafters,

have you ever thought of putting some of your wonderful card creations into a pretty box and giving it to friends or family as a gift ? Well today I want to share this Card Gift Box I made with you. Fill it up with your cards and you will have a lovely gift for that special someone. Would also make a great end of year gift for your children's teacher's.
It's my very first Tutorial so please be kind I still have lots to learn about the Blogging world and Tutorials. :-)

I have seen a few of these in Blog Land, and I have made one in
a class, but I needed to work out the exact measurements so my cards paired with my Stampin Up Envelopes, (C6 size if you are using store bought ones) would fit nicely in the box.
The tutorial is in inches and I used my Stampin Up tools, but if you don't have the same you could use either of the options shown here for scoring and  trimming the card stock. I am sure there is a few other options out there available too.

I have a few more cards to make to fill my box,
then I will have a lovely gift for a special someone.
Have fun making yours and if you need any Stampin Up supplies to make your box and cards jump on over to the SU button on the right to get to my SU web page.

There is also a PDF file available for download HERE enjoy.

Diana
